Crazy Sleeper

Wow, family is SO entertaining!!! A couple of minutes ago I was sitting in the living room, checking my facebook and people's blogs and what-not. All of the sudden I hear Paula (who is now officially living with us, I will have to post about that too....maybe). Anyway, I hear her urgently whispering my name. So I get up and go down the hallway to see what she is so excited about. She and Joseph have me look into our little brother's room, and this is what I found. hahaha. Hyrum, fast asleep, stuck between his mattress and the footboard. We were laughing so hard, but Mom kept telling us to quiet down, because if we woke him up he would be really upset. At the same time she didn't want him to hurt himself, so she went in and woke him up and had him climb back on top of his bed. The greatest thing is that apparently he had repositioned himself a couple of times in the last couple of minutes, this one just happened to be completely uncomfortable and hilarious!!! Wow, good times. :) I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did. There would definitely be a lot less laughing in my life if it wasn't for my family. :)

We're Artists!!!!

So I would have had this posted sooner, but the blogger kept messing up when I tried to upload the photos, so here it is, just a little late. :)

Alright, the other day Paula decided she wanted to take me out for a day to ourselves because since she's been with Keith, we haven't had as much time with each other as we used to (which is completely to be expected!). :) Anyway, she told me she was going to take me out, but that it was all a surprise, and I would just have to find out that day. So last Friday she picked me up from summer school and brought me back home. She had two shirts that she had made waiting for us on the couch, bright yellow ones with our names on front and 'We're Sisters' on back, they're so cute! So anyway, we get ready to go, and she tells me to grab a big towel too. So we get in the car and start driving and after stopping at the bank so that she could cash her checks, we drove to Sequiota Park...I think that was the name...it's on the south side of Springfield. I still had no idea what we were going to do, except that we were going to create something and it was going to be messy! Boy was that an understatement!!!

Once we got to the park we found a shady spot kind of on the edge of the park, away from everyone else. After we went searching for 4 medium rocks, she pulled out a big, white sheet...and then some paint. : ) We took the pink and painted war-stripes on each others cheeks and took a couple pictures before it got crazy. After the first set of pictures we went back to the sheet and started on our masterpiece. : ) We took the pink paint and did our foot and hand prints (we had to put the paint on our feet for each other, haha). Then we wrote our names on it....then it got fun. : ) We took all the other colors - blue, green, yellow, and red - and splatter painted. We put the paint on our hands and then shook our hands over top of the sheet, it was so fun! We decided that from far off it probably looked like we were doing witchcraft, hahaha. Next we decided we should take the bottles themselves and just squirt them onto the sheet in lines...and very quickly that changed to squirting them in lines onto each other. : ) We went CRAZY!!! (as is obvious from the pictures!) After all that we took more pictures with each other, decorated the car with window paint, and left for dinner!

We decided we were going to be cool and go eat in the food court at the mall. :D Haha, we got so many funny looks while we were walking inside! Then we saw an old lady with a walker coming, so we got off the sidewalk so she could go past us. After passing us, she turned around and asked us if we were sisters. We said yes, and then she asked if we were twins! I explained that Paula was marrying my brother, then she told us that she was a twin, and that as she and her sister were, they still looked exactly alike! She was so sweet! We started to walk away, but then I stopped and asked if we could get a picture with her, and I promised we wouldn't touch her, haha. It was really funny, because a little further up the sidewalk another lady who had already passed us stopped and listened to the whole conversation, haha, glad we could entertain her!

We went in and got in line at Sbarro, delicious! After the worker finished with the customer in front of us, he asked what had happened. Paula told him we were artists, he said he could tell. : ) When he asked what he could get for us, Paula asked for 2 pieces of pepperoni pizza, "prefferablly the big one." There were only 3 pieces left, so after he gave her the big one, he said he'd go ahead and give the other 2, so we got a piece for free! Hooray for cool fast food workers!!! Haha. After the deliciously large and cheap pizza, we went over to Chick-Fil-A and got us some ice cream cones. When we left we called our friends and finally decided to meet them at Ritter Springs Park. When we got there we told them all about our great adventures of the day and then walked down the trail to play in the river. So basically is was an AMAZING day! I have the best, most considerate and thoughtful friend ever!!!! I love her so much, and lucky for me, I get to have her as a sister for REAL!!! Friends are wonderful. : ) And so is taking a break to just chill and act like kids with each other. : ) Here are a few of the pictures, the rest are on facebook (it was hard to choose which ones to post!). :)

This is one of the pictures we took before it got crazy and we were so excited when we thought of the idea for it, we had to get creative on how to take it though, we had to put the camera on a rock to prop it up and then use the timer, haha.

Our final MATERPIECE!!! :) Beautiful isn't it?

And this is US after our final masterpiece! We look great don't we? :)

We had lots of fun taking pictures in the car. We took a lot more, but this is one that I liked a lot.
This is the lady we met walking into the mall that asked us if we were twins. :)

We wanted to take photos in the booth that prints them out in strips...but, like last time, we didn't have the right bills to pay for it...so we just sat in it and took our own! :)
